Jennifer OConnor, 38, of 25 Wirling Drive, Beverly, was arrested and charged with OUI drugs, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and following too close at 8:14 a.m. Monday.

A report of suspicious activity at 12:20 p.m. Monday at 54 Aberdeen Ave. A caller was riding his bike and discovered a device with a pin in it placed in a trash barrel. An officer requested a bomb dog to respond. Salem PD reported the dog would only find the device and would not be helpful. The officer made a phone call to the bomb squad. State Bomb Squad confiscated the device.

The vehicle was reported found at 7:23 p.m. Sunday in the Lowe’s Parking lot at 1500 Broadway. The man reported his driver’s license, $40 in cash and a $200 visa gift card were stolen from inside the vehicle; at 3:09 a.m. Monday at 2301 Lewis O. Gray Drive.
