Breaking and Entering

A report of a burglary/breaking and entering at 9:39 a.m. Sunday on Londonderry Road. A caller said his house was entered overnight when the door was locked. Taken from the living room was a laptop and an iPad. Both were used in the evening prior to going to sleep for the night.

A report of stolen cash at 9:46 a.m. Sunday on Longview Drive. A caller reported her house was broken into and $250 cash was taken from her purse and wallet.

Complaints

A report of a hypodermic needle on the sidewalk at 11:43 a.m. Sunday at Ralph Road and Humphrey Street. An officer retrieved the needle.

A report of nails in the driveway at 3:52 p.m. Sunday on Washington Street. A caller stated she has a harassment order against a party, who she believes placed nails in her driveway. A similar incident has happened in the past.

A report of credit card fraud at 4:07 p.m. Sunday on Bubier Road. A woman reported that someone opened accounts in her name and she was charged for items. She had copies of the bills.

Overdose

A report of a heroin overdose at 4:59 p.m. Sunday on Broughton Road. The patient was given Naloxone with positive results.

Theft

A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 8:21 a.m. Sunday on Foss Terrace. A man reported his wife stole his credit card.

A report of a disturbance at 8:19 p.m. Sunday at 4 Hill St.; at 8:32 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Mart at 36 Walnut St. An employee reported he asked a kid for an ID and he got mad and destroyed the store. An officer reported approximately $1,000 in damage.

Theft

A report of a larceny at 2:26 p.m. Sunday at Northshore Mall at 210N Andover St. A caller stated her pocketbook was stolen at the mall; at 1:45 a.m. Monday at 3 Union St.

A report of a robbery at 9 p.m. Sunday at 2 Sprague St. and 102 Tremont St. A caller reported a car jacking with a knife shown.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 10:21 p.m. Sunday at 19 Berkshire Road.

Arrests

Jairo E. Almeyda, 22, of 31 Chelsea St., East Boston, was arrested and charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property under $250, disorderly conduct and on protective custody at 4:22 a.m. Friday.

Steven G. Jill, 40, of 184 Paris St., East Boston, was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, number plate violation to conceal ID and on two warrants at 3:08 a.m. Thursday.

Shawn T. Murphy, 35, of 133 Kimball Ave., was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation and on a warrant at 2:48 p.m. Saturday.

Joseph L. Pescione, 29, of 21 Wadsworth Ave., was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 at 7:56 p.m. Friday.

A caller reported a motor vehicle hit the guardrail and flipped over onto its roof.

A report of a disturbance at 11:12 p.m. Thursday at 18 Iron Works Way; at 1:24 a.m. Friday at Warden Street Apartments at 5 Warden St.; at 1:38 a.m. Friday at Lincoln Avenue and Central Street; at 6:15 p.m. Friday at 82 Newhall Ave.; at 12:12 p.m. Saturday at Square One Mall at 1201 Broadway. A caller reported he was at the Square One Mall parking lot when a man in a motor vehicle pulled out a gun on him and his friends and fled on to Route One; at 11:57 p.m. Saturday on Dreeme Street. A caller reported she could hear a group of males arguing and one possibly had a bat. Officers were unable to locate and caller reported the individuals involved fled the area; at 1:04 a.m. Saturday at 70 Lincoln Ave; at 9:47 a.m. Sunday at 60 Summer St. A caller reported someone was trying to break into his house. He stated that he knew who the people were, but would not identify them. He further stated they arrived in black and white vehicles with baseball bats. Officers reported no weapon was discovered and there was no forced entry to the residence.

A report of shoplifting at 5:23 p.m. Sunday at Home Depot Building Supply at 564 Broadway. Loss Prevention reported they attempted to detain a male for shoplifting and the suspect pulled a knife and fled in a white sedan. No vehicle matching the description was found and when an officer spoke with Loss Prevention, the officer was unable to determine if the suspect brandished a knife.

A report of road rage at 10:17 p.m. Sunday at Cliftondale Congregational Church at 50 Essex St. A caller reported she was involved in a road rage incident. She stated another vehicle cut her off and broke her windshield with a tire iron and the assaulted her boyfriend with a baseball bat. Drew C. Kabbara, of 93 Warren St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A report of a larceny at 5:57 p.m. Saturday at Best Buy, Square One Mall at 1201 Broadway.


SWAMPSCOTT

Complaints

A report of a hazardous condition at 8:42 a.m. Sunday at 432 Humphrey St. A caller reported a manhole at the entrance to the driveway with a possible sewer leak. Water was coming out of the manhole. DPW was notified.
