SALEM – Solstice Sackbuts performs at the Salem Athenaeum on Sunday at 3 p.m.This talented trombone trio may just have you dancing in the aisles with their lively and eclectic repertoire. The Solstice Sackbuts, formed in 2010, are David Lindsey, Alan Johnson and Leslie Havens, and they will be performing on soprano, alto, tenor and bass trombones. The group has performed in concerts and street fairs, parties and church services, and its members have played with the likes of Tony Bennett, Dave Brubeck, Natalie Cole, Ray Charles and Mel Torme.The evening will be filled with medieval and Renaissance music, as well as Classical music, pop and jazz. The group will take a musical tour through the centuries with interesting anecdotes about the music, the times and the history of the trombone, ending with some selections you’ll tap your feet to.If You Go?
