SAUGUS – For the third time in three days, motor vehicles owned by Saugus residents have been damaged by projectiles, apparently fired from a BB or pellet gun.The first incident occurred Sunday night or early Monday morning. Residents of 18 Overlea Ave. called police Monday to report the rear window of their Lincoln Navigator had been shot out with what appeared to have been a BB or pellet. Two similar incidents were reported Tuesday. A resident of 20 Lawndale Ave. said the windows of his 1997 Buick LeSabre were struck by pellets. The vandalism was committed during the night. The latest incident occurred at 208 Winter St., where a 1988 Ford Bronco owned by Atlantic Landscaping was struck by pellets or BBs. Two windows in the truck were shattered.”These incidents may have all happened the same night in the same area. Obviously we have someone out there with a pellet or BB gun device,” said Police Lt. Leonard Campanello. “People should be mindful of anyone driving slowly up and down the street in an unfamiliar vehicle.”Anyone with information about the crimes should contact Saugus police detectives at 781-941- 1100.
