Item Staff ReportThe Columbian pop star Juanes will be performing at the Lynn Auditorium this weekend as part of his current world tour.Juanes – born Juan Esteban Aristizabal Vasquez – was declared Latin Music’s “Star of the Decade” by Billboard after selling more than 15 million all-Spanish albums worldwide. Before his solo debut in 2000, he was a member of Ekhymosis, a Columbian heavy metal band. Now, five albums later, Juanes has won a record-setting 17 Latin Grammy awards, one Grammy award and numerous other honors.His second album, “Un Dia Normal,” was released in 2002 and still holds the record for the longest Top-10 chart run – 92 weeks – of any Latin album in history.Juanes was also named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2005 due to his active fight against the use of anti-personnel mines in Columbia.The Juanes P.A.R.C.E tour will be at Lynn Auditorium on Saturday.
