LYNN – The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce has named nominees for its 2010 Business Excellence Awards, winners of which will be announced at the chamber’s 98th annual meeting on Jan. 28 at the Hilton Boston Hotel at Logan Airport.Nominees for Business Person of the Year are Andy Giller from New Angle Glass, Larry Gropien of ERC Wiping Products, John Hamel of J&S Transportation, and George Markos of Brother’s Deli.Nominees for the Multi-Cultural Business Leadership Award are Basillio Encarnacio of the Rincon Macorisano restaurant, Don Edwards of Operation Bootstrap, and the staff of the Abbot House Nursing Home.Nominees for the David S. Solomine Sr. Community Service Award are Richard Kessel of Lynn Lumber, Alan Kline of Lynn Ladder & Scaffolding, David Solimine Jr. of the Solomine, Landergan & Richardson Funeral Homes, and local orthodontist Dr. Buck Weaver.Nominees for the Rookie of the Year Award are Gayla Bartlett of Cranney Home Services, Mark DeJoie and Matt O’Neil of the Blue Ox restaurant, and Amy Drinan of the Jack & Jill Hair Salon.Three nominees are vying for the Buddy Fennell Hall of Fame Award, which honors the late owner of the Capitol Diner in downtown Lynn. The nominees are Richard Holbrook of Eastern Bank, Francis and Andrew McAskill of Monte’s Pizza, and Salvy Migliaccio of Salvy the Florist.Nominees for the Lynn City Pride Award are Pauline Sabino from the Lynn Economic and Industrial Corp., Dottie Thibodeau from the city’s Inspectional Services Department, and Andrea Scalise, former deputy chief of staff to former mayor Edward J. Clancy Jr.Nominees for the Swampscott Town Pride Award are Town Treasurer Denise Dembkowski, and Town Administrative Assistant Maureen Shultz.The sole Nahant Town Pride Award nominee is Police Chief William F.
