A Tribute to Union Square Invention” honors Fluff creator, Archibald Query who cooked up the concoction in Union Square in 1917.The madcap tribute to Fluff includes performances, games, cooking contests, a myriad of concoctions made from Fluff and a Fluff tug-of-war.The exceptional line-up of live performers include Jordan Valentine & the Sunday Saints, Rex Complex, and Los Sugar Kings, a Boston-based quartet known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, high level of musicianship and ability to transcend genres. The Flufferettes will also be hand with their G-Rated version of “Babes in Boinkland.”You can take part in this year’s cooking contest by baking your own original Fluff recipe or presenting the best interpretation of a classic or not so well known published recipe.Another highlight of the event is the crowning of the “Fabulous Pharaoh of Fluff,” who will be selected by festival attendees based on their poetry tributes to Fluff.There are sticky games galore on tap for all ages including the Fluff Lick-Off, Blind Man’s Fluff , Fluff Fear Factor and Pin the F on Fluff Boy.Vendors selling everything from Fluff t-shirts to soaps shaped like S’Mores will be on hand and there will be no shortage of Fluff stuff to eat- from classic Whoopie Pies to Fluff BBQ.
