SAUGUS ? Kevin Knox says he will be at Giggles Comedy Club this weekend to do one thing – make people laugh.”Comedy is starting to take all kinds of twists and turns these days and I understand that but I am definitely old school. I will be on stage to make you laugh, not educate you,” Knox said. “If you wanted to be educated you could go back to school. I want to give the audience big bucks laughs and give them what they paid for.”Knox, who just returned from a stint at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and who will be in Las Vegas at the Sahara in a couple weeks, says he has done Jimmy Kimmel Live, been seen on Rescue Me and has basically played everywhere from Canada to the Cayman Islands.”Hey, comedy to me is the best job ever,” the Nahant resident said. “I show people my hands all the time. I have never worked a day in 30 years. My hands are as soft as a baby’s butt.”Knox will be joined this weekend by Jim Lauletta and there will be one show Friday and one show Saturday. Both begin at 8:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7.”Everyone needs to laugh considering where things are these days,” Knox said. “I will go at the audience fast and hard making it so they can’t breathe. I want them saying I have to go see him again.”According to Lauletta’s Web site, the Boston-born comedian’s twisted, random and cynical delivery leaves crowds asking themselves, what will he say next?Lauletta has been seen on HBO, NBC, Comedy Central and most recently on NESN’s Comedy All-Stars.Lauletta said the audience at Giggles should “Expect the unexpected. I adlib a lot and it is just fun, obscure cerebral absurdity. I will give people things to make them laugh that normal people would never think of.Lauletta said he and Knox are great friends and that it is always fun to perform with him.”Jim is one of the funniest guys around,” Knox said. “He will give you great comedy, voices and impersonations. He is a wonderful triple threat.”If You Go?One show Friday and one show Saturday. Both begin at 8:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7. Giggles is located inside Prince Pizza on Route 1 South in Saugus.
