The Daily ItemSAUGUS – Al Ducharme has been entertaining audiences of all ages for more than a decade and will be appearing at Giggles in Saugus Friday and Saturday night.Ducharme, who has been seen on An Evening at The Improv and Caroline’s Comedy Hour on A&E, says he offers a combination of observational humor, comical characters and celebrity impressions. His unique standup act, often enhanced with sound effects, packs a powerful punch.This versatile artist was the host of the first season of “Mission: Organization” on HGTV and now takes on the duties of a new show called “Comedy Cooks.” He has also starred in several television commercials including those for Heineken Beer, Papa Gino’s, Ford Motor Co. and GTE. His film work includes the Miramax film “Next Stop Wonderland” and “Original Sin” (CBS).Ducharme has also been featured on voiceovers for radio, television and animated CD-Rom software.Whether performing at a comedy club, college or suburban country club, he is able to contour his standup act to fit each occasion.According to Ducharme’s Web site, “His comedic talent has been tested internationally in Europe (Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona) and Africa receiving rave reviews – his ability to make people laugh needs no translation in any part of the world.”Ducharme will be joined by Graig Murphy who hails from Weymouth and is known for his impersonations of such Boston sports icons as Terry Francona, Bob Kraft and Grady Little as well as national celebrities like Jon Miller and Joe Morgan from ESPN and the late Harry Kalas.Ducharme and Murphy will be at Giggles on Route 1 in Saugus along with Giggles’ regular Johnny Pizzi Friday night (8:30) and Saturday night (7:15 and 9:30)For tickets and information, call Giggles at 781-233-9950.
