Swampscott’s Hunter Gordon was named the Most Valuable Player of the Northeastern Conference’s Small Division, as the league all-stars teams were announced on Friday.Beverly’s Peter Kallas was named the MVP of the NEC’s Large Division. Pathers’ coach Dave Wilbur was also selected Coach of the Year in the NEC Large. Coach of the Year in the NEC Small was Joe Orlando of Gloucester.Peabody placed the most players on the NEC Large team with seven – Patrick Dumas, Marc Linehan, Ryan English, Marc Finnochio, Jared Shields, Tom Ciulla and Peter Sucharewicz.Six Beverly players were named – Matt Lanza, Felix Zamot, Kallas, Ethan Trowt, Andy Brown and Joe Wionceck. Lynn English placed four players – Johnathan Surette, Roberto Reyes, Esteban Paula and Brian Maynard. Salem, with Sean Linehan and T.J. Larivee, and Revere, with Chris Mastropietro and Rich Palladino, had two players each, while Wilson Mercado was the lone player named from Lynn Classical.In the NEC Small, Gloucester led the way with six players – Trevor Curley, Ryan Cusick, Dylan Maki, Taylor Burbine, Brett Cahill, and Conor Ressel. Swampscott, Saugus and Marblehead placed four players each. John Pelletier, Chris Cameron, Steve Moran and Gordon represented the Big Blue, while Michael Silva, Carig Cole, Tyler Calla and Dave Ferreria were selected from Saugus. Brandon Lee, Dan Comeau, Evan Comeau and Eric Steen were chosen from Marblehead.Tom Marini and Kyle Larsen were selected from Danvers, while Matt Moore represented Winthrop.Saugus and Revere won the respective sportsmanship awards.
