Kinson Jean won the high jump (6-2) and 200 (23.0), and came in second in the 100 (11.7) to teammate Oliver Narcisse (11.4). He also led off in the winning 4×100 relay team (46.2), which also featured Narcisse, Joey Nigro and James Payen. Matt Gateman won the 400 (54.6) and 400 hurdles (61.0).The Big Blue won all of the throwing events: Dave Wilson, discus (118-0); Payen, shot put (43-10); and Nick Moll, javelin (136-10).Tech in CAC MeetTech placed fifth out of eight teams in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference meet. Jonathan Rijo had the best personal day for the Tigers. He placed second in the long jump (18-10) and third in the 200 (24.4). Ramon Ramos placed second in the 100 (11.4); Reginald Teah placed fourth (11.61).The team of Ramos, Teah, Rijo and Klaus Alexis placed second in the 4×100 (47.1)GIRLSSaugus 68, Winthrop 44At Saugus, the Sachems had two double winners: Alyssa Wilkie, 100 (13.3) and long jump (15-2 3/4); and Cece Cresta-Devine, 800 (2:36) and triple jump (30-9 1/4). Saugus had four other winners: Kelly Manley, 2-mile 13:15; Erin Donahue, mile (5:57.8); Janelle Bean, 400 (1:06.4); and Stephanie Perella, shot put (26-6 1/4).Marblehead 71, Swampscott 60At Swampscott, Sarah Bittermann won two events: 400 hurdles (69.8) and 200 (27.1). She placed second in the high jump (4-8). Julia Kingsley won the 400 (65.1) and the long and triple jumps. The team of Courtney Maher, Madeline Piela, Alex Gerard and Kingsley won the 4×400 (4:27.6).Tech in CAC MeetTech came in sixth place out of eight teams in the CAC meet. Arthina Roberts came in second in the long jump (13-10) and fourth in the 100 (13.7). She became the first girls team member in Tech’s history to make the state tournament, according to coach Joe Skeadas.
