The St. John’s relay teams combined to lead the Eagles to a fifth place finish in the Division 1 state relay meet on Saturday. The Eagles had four teams take third place finishes.Tim Murtagh, Mike Masse, A.J. Rossi and Chris Oesterlin were third in the 4-x-1600 (18:28.08). Pat Driscoll, Mike Harney, Alex Mostone and Taewook Ha were third in the 4-x-110 hurdles (1:04.91).Jared Kadich, Chris Crosby, George Sessoms and Sean Hanlon teamed for a school record time of 3:36.07 in the sprint medley relay. Hanlon and Kadich joined Mostone and Crosby for a third in the 4 x 400 relay (3:29.52).Peabody also had a stellar meet on Saturday, finishing eighth overall. The distance medley team of Ramses Monteiro, Jake Pimental, Ryan Conrad and John Lawrence smashed a 29-year old school record to win in a time of 10:43.04.The quartet also broke the school’s indoor record in the same event this winter.Nour Shahin, Kevin Bettencourt and Howard Brown were second in the shotput (136-9 1/2) and A.J. Grube, Zack Grube and Brian Bettencourt were fourth in the high jump relay (17-4).
