Lynn Chamber breakfast to focus on keeping good employees

The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the North Shore Workforce Investment Board and North Shore Career Center will present “Find & Keep Good Employees: How the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) & Local Resources Can Help Your Business” as part of the monthly Good Morning Breakfast series on Friday, April 17 at the Porthole Restaurant in Lynn, beginning at 7:30 a.m.Guest speakers include Mary Sarris, Executive Director, North Shore Workforce Investment Board, Bill Womack, North Shore Career Center, Nancy Stager, executive V.P. of Human Resources at Eastern Bank and Audrey Welling, of Jacqueline’s Gourmet Cookies in Salem.Attendees will learn about ARRA opportunities, along with other sources of workforce funding including those that Eastern Bank and Jacqueline’s Gourmet Cookies have received. Attendees will also learn about grant opportunities available to any business regarding employment and training and how the North Shore WIB and North Shore Career Center are valuable local resources.”This breakfast forum targets the needs of businesses large and small,” says Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Leslie Gould. “With so many businesses looking for smart, cost-effective avenues to grow and manage their business this breakfast forum highlights local professional, free business resources in our backyard.”The cost to attend is $20 per person and RSVP is appreciated as a courtesy to our restaurant host.
