LYNN ? Share the love with Mass Theatrica in (Un)Lucky in Love, a Valentine’s Day concert paying tribute to matters of the heart.Mass Theatrica will present “(Un)Lucky In Love” Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre at LynnArts, 25 Exchange St.Mass Theatrica is an innovative performing arts company dedicated to bringing a variety of performing arts to the masses, including plays, musical theater, operetta and opera.Mass Theatrica is the brainchild of Angeliki Theoharis, a well-known mezzo-soprano in the Boston area and Meredith Lavine, an emerging soprano and information scientist.Theoharis said the group was founded in partto allow multi-faceted artists to showcase their talents in a single production. She said the theater’s unique vision is to bring a variety of theatrical genres together under the auspices of one performing arts association.”The fact is many of our colleagues who are equally gifted in music and acting find they are forced to shop their talents to several different organizations, which can be a frustrating experience,” Theoharis said. “There are not many opportunities which give such multi-faceted artists experience working on all of their talents in a single production.”Lavine added the group strives to bring quality entertainment to the Greater Lynn area.”Lynn area audiences find themselves sifting through many performances to locate the types of theater arts that interest them the most. Nor do they always wish to make the journey to Boston for quality entertainment,” Lavine said. “Our vision is unique in that we are bringing a variety of theatrical genres together under the auspices of one local performing arts association. Our differentiator of bringing these art forms to the masses accomplishes two objectives. It allows us to broaden our scope to cater to a wider expanse of North Shore theatergoers’ interests and provide ample opportunities for emerging artists to further develop many talents in a single production through one company.”Featured artists in this production include Michael Belle, Thomas RenĂ© Brennan, Lydian DeVere, Bethany Tammaro Condon, Stephanie Mann, Emily Quane, Jennifer Rizzo, Theoharis, Todd Yard and Karla Kelley on piano.Featured hits in the program include: “If I Loved You” from “Carousel, “Stay, Frederic, Stay” from “Pirates of Penzance, “Show Me” from “My Fair Lady” along with numbers from South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.
