LYNNFIELD – Residents seeking to run for town office this year will have until Monday, Feb. 23 to submit respective nomination papers. All candidates must secure 50 signatures from registered voters in Lynnfield in order to appear on the ballot.This year’s election will be held on Monday, April 13. There are nine positions available, as terms have expired for Arthur Bourque of the Board of Selectmen, Timothy Doyle and Michael Craffey of the School Committee, Town Moderator David Miller, Housing Authority member Jack Donegan, Board of Assessors member Robin Nolan, Planning Board member Donald Harriss and Board of Library Trustees members Kerry Haughney and Seavey Bowdoin.The length of term varies from one year for the Town Moderator to five years for Planning Board and Housing Authority members. All other positions carry a three-year term.Nomination papers will be available at the Town Clerk’s office. The last day to withdraw from the election is Tuesday, March 10.
