A unique family orientated event will give kids a chance take a shot and score against Boston Bruins goalies, tour the Bruins locker room and meet with the players.The 19th Annual Bruins Wives’ Charity Carnival will take place Sunday at the TD Banknorth Garden from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.The annual Boston Bruins Wives’ Carnival is a day of fun, filled with interactive events including an autograph sessions.Have your photo taken with the Boston Bruins Hummer, the Zamboni or in the broadcast booth. This year you can even have your picture taken with the Stanley Cup, the league’s championship trophy.Take on one of the Bruins players in a game of ping pong, check your slapshot speed at Radar Hockey or test your skills on Guitar Hero. The Boston Bruins’ Wives Charity Carnival provides attendees the chance to meet members of the current Bruins roster, coaching staff and alumni, tour the team’s locker room, and compete head to head with the players in some of their favorite games. Last year, fans had the opportunity to take on Phil Kessel in the video game Dance, Dance Revolution, Milan Lucic in Guitar Hero, Dennis Wideman in ping-pong, Manny Fernandez in NHL ’08, could sink Mark Stuart in the Dunk Tank and try to score on goaltender Tim Thomas in floor hockey.Similar games and activities are planned for this year’s carnival.The Carnival, which is one of the largest Boston Bruins fund raisers, allows fans the opportunity to meet the Boston Bruins squad and play interactive games against Bruins players while supporting a great cause. Many of the activities cost a nominal amount of money and proceeds from the event will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.This year the carnival will be broken up into three sessions according to three corresponding price levels. Please note that the prices of the Early Bird Session and General Admission Session only cover admission in to the carnival and that all carnival games require an additional cost to participate.Tickets for the VIP Autograph Session, which runs from 11 a.m. until noon, are $250 and includes entrance to the carnival during the Early Bird session. Fans will meet and get an autograph from every Boston Bruins player on the 2008-2009 roster. The VIP session is limited to 100 participants and includes complimentary access to participate in all carnival games, with a one-use-per-activity limit. The Early Bird Session runs from noon until 2 p.m. Tickets for the early bird session are $50 and include entrance to the carnival and one free autograph from the Bruins player of your choice. Only 800 tickets will be sold for the early bird session.The General Admission Session provides guests entrance to the Carnival from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 for ages 12 and older, $10 for children under 12 and children under 5 are admitted free.
