The Daily ItemSALEM – Twenty one members of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association will be exhibiting their work at the Gallery at Grosvenor Park at Grosvenor Park Nursing Center in Vinnin Square, 7 Loring Hills Ave., Salem, beginning Sunday.A variety of prints in color, black and white and infra red will be shown along with two on non-traditional paper, a paper bag and toilet paper.An opening public reception for the exhibit will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and the exhibit will continue through January 6, 2009.Fully handicap accessible, usual gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.The Associations beginnings can be traced to the Lynn Camera Club, which was founded in 1888 by four professional photographers. The organization, in its current form, came into being in 1933 as the Greater Lynn Camera Club. In 1989 the name was changed to the current Greater Lynn Photographic Association to more accurately reflect its varied activities.Besides Lynn, members reside in communities north and west of Boston and also out of state. Participants in the current show include Marilyn and Rick Cloran, also Dana Hoffman of Swampscott, Ulrike Welsch of Marblehead, Dave Parsons, Mikhail Restegayev and Amy Musinsky of Lynn, Jim Holt and Karen Hosking from Salem, Carol Stella from Saugus, CuongNguyen from Malden, Chrissy Faller and Fran MacDonald from Melrose. From Wakefield comes Vega Buchbinder, Jim Gallagher from Winthrop, and Barbara Soghigian from Middleton.The club now owns its own building at 564 Boston St., Lynn and meets every Monday night from September until May.
