The Bishop Fenwick field hockey team battled back from a three-goal deficit to send the game into overtime, but Watertown still prevailed, 4-3, in Division 2 North semifinal action Thursday at Andover.The Crusaders found themselves with their backs against the wall early. Watertown scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. Although Fenwick got one back before the half thanks to Kara Charochak, it was all uphill after the break. Liz Sears scored the other two Fenwick goals, but the comeback stalled in overtime. Casey Landry (12 saves) played well in net and Jackie Felteau anchored the defense.”We had a lot of opportunities,” Fenwick coach Marybeth Mahoney said. “I think we played very well.’Watertown, a perennial force in the state tournament, was undefeated coming into the game, Mahoney said. The Crusaders finish at 14-5-2.
