Girls Soccer: Wilkie’s four goals lead Saugus

Alyssa Wilkie did something yesterday afternoon that no other Saugus girls soccer player had in Ted Moriello’s 19-year tenure.Wilkie scored all four of the Sachems goals, in a 4-0 win over Revere.”(Wilkie) is the fastest girl that I’ve coached in years,” Moreillo said. “She showed some versatility in the way she was scoring. Marissa Gambale, Madison Sheffer, Skylar Sabbag and Rikki Langan scored the Swampscott goals. Casey Connolly added a pair of assists.Peabody 2, Marblehead 0At Marblehead, Erika Digiacomo scored both of the tanners (7-1). Emily Manoogian assisted on both goals. Katie Psapatsaris had an impressive game in between the pipes for Peabody. Jessica Leslie, Emily Britton and Kara Passinari all had nice defensive games.Sarah Forward and Mary Keroack had nice performances for the Magicians (6-3).Danvers 4, Beverly 1At Danvers, Corey Persson scored a pair of goals for the Falcons (8-0). Tess Saunders scored a goal and an assist. Liz Burgess knocked in the other goal. Brittany Russo, Becky Landers and Lindsey Dattoli each had an assist.Monica Cassola scored the Panthers (2-4-1) lone goal.Winthrop 4, Classical 0At Winthrop, Vanessa Caruccio was involved in all of the scoring for the Vikings (4-4-2). She scored a pair of goals and assists. Elaine Lanza and Nicole Black accounted for the other Winthrop goals.Salem 4, Gloucester 1At Gloucester, Ashley Maccario put the ball between the pipes twice for the Witches (5-3-1). Jasmine Bryant scored a goal and two assists. Melissa Ryan scored on a penalty kick. Monique Gallant picked up an assist.Jennavie Orrell scored the Fishermen’s lone goal.
