LYNN – Unless he comes up with $25,000 cash, a Lynn man will remain in jail for at least a month on heroin trafficking charges following his arrest Monday.Ruskyn Garcia, 24, of 542 Western Ave., was arrested after an undercover State Police Trooper allegedly bought heroin from him twice this month.Garcia allegedly sold over 14 grams of heroin to the undercover officer on Congress Street on July 2 and over 28 grams Monday afternoon outside the Stop and Shop on Washington Street, where he was arrested.Shortly after his arrest, officers went to his home where Garcia’s roommate allegedly signed a search consent form. The officers found a fully loaded .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver hidden inside a shoebox.The undercover officer called Garcia on Friday and arranged to purchase a large quantity of heroin this past Monday, according to a State Police report.Garcia was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin, distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, two counts of violating drug laws in a school zone, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and improper storage of a firearm.Lynn District Court Judge Michael Lauranzano ordered Garcia back to court Aug. 12 for a probable cause hearing.
