LYNN – A Lynn man faced a judge Monday for allegedly attempting to hold up a Market Square pizza shop at gunpoint.Peter Turco, 31, of 57 Cedar St., was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and assault with a handgun shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday.Turco allegedly burst into the rear door of Domino’s Pizza and screamed for a dishwasher to get on the ground while holding a gun in the air.Police say a manager heard the commotion and charged at Turco with a long-handled fork. Turco ran out the door as the manager chased him into the railroad tracks behind Western Avenue, police said.Within a couple of minutes, police located the suspect running down South Street Court and placed him under arrest.Officers discovered a bag of marijuana in Turco’s sock and additionally charged him with possession of a class D drug, police said.Lynn District Court Judge Stacey Fortes-White ordered Turco held on $10,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is expected back in court June 4 for a pre-trial hearing.
