Bishop Fenwick’s boys and girls track teams finished second overall at the CCL freshman-sophomore meets on Saturday morning at Bishop Fenwick High School.The girls placed second out of seven teams with 140.3 points, falling only to Cardinal Spellman’s score of 167.7.Fenwick’s Brittany Dolan earned Most Valuable Performer honors for the day by winning three events: the triple jump (29-10), high hurdles (18.1) and 100m (13.4).The Crusaders also received a strong outing from Christina Moran, who won the shot put (27-7 1/4) and discus (78-2). In addition, Mikala Ferullo won the javelin (65-9) and Lauren McHugh took the long jump (12-2).Austin Prep finished third with 63 points, while Archbishop Williams was fourth with 41. Arlington Catholic (27), Matignon (18) and St. Mary’s (18) rounded out the results.For the boys, Fenwick finished second with 83 total points. Cardinal Spellman was again the victor, with a score of 160.Fenwick got individual wins from Alex DeIulis in the javelin (128-5), Tommy Banks in the 400 (58.3), Angelo Maida in the mile (5:23.4) and Bill Harrington in the two-mile (11:14.8).Austin Prep was third overall, with 79 points, while Archbishop Williams was fourth with 48. Cathedral (40 points), Arlington Catholic (20), St. Mary’s (13), Matignon (10) and Trinity Catholic (9) rounded out the results.In other action, Fenwick finished fifth in both the boys and girls meets at the Catholic Invitational on Sunday night in Attleboro.The girls received wins from Maddy Bissaillon in the discus (116-10) and Lexi Culkeen in the shot put (36-3/4).For the boys, Lucas Sobezenski placed second in the discus (123-6).
