Peabody saw a 4-0 lead disappear in a heartbeat when Gloucester exploded for five fourth-inning runs. The Fishermen went on to win the game, 5-4, at Peabody.Peabody scored a run in the first inning on an Amanda Smith RBI single. Kenia McKeon (3-for-3, 2 RBI) drove in single runs in the second and third innings and Mary Kate Hellas singled in the final Peabody run in the third inning.It was all Gloucester (7-3, 4-3) in the fourth with Ali Kippen and Nicole Whipple singling in the first two runs and Addy Blakeley nailing the coffin shut with a 3-run home run.Emily Milewska started for Peabody (7-2, 5-2 NEC) and went 4 2/3 innings (allowing four hits). She had three 1-2-3 innings and, in the fifth, got the side out on three pitches.Swampscott (4-4, 4-3 NEC) pounded out 12 hits with Marissa Gambale (hit, 2 runs scored) and Mallorie McGrath (2-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs) leading the attack.Lynnfield 3, M’head 0At Marblehead, pitcher Courtney Colantuno had a perfect game going into the seventh, but the Pioneers played the spoiler. They scored all three runs on a combination of a walk, error and a couple of hits. Colantuno allowed three hits and struck out nine.Marblehead (5-3) also had a tough night at the plate.”We were a little snake-bitten with the bats,” Marblehead coach John Gold said. “We really haven’t hit in two games. They also made some very good plays. Their shortstop, Jamie Harris, was awesome.”Williams 2, Fenwick 1At Braintree, the Crusaders (3-6) continue to struggle. This game was scoreless until Williams came up with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Fenwick scored one run in the top of the seventh on a Jen Comeau fielder’s choice, but the Crusaders left the bases loaded. Alyssa Begin went the first five innings, allowing five hits and two runs, and striking out six. Courtney Begin finished in relief.Winthrop 10, Beverly 0At Beverly, Kristin Finn turned in another rock-solid effort. She went the distance, allowing six hits, striking out seven and not walking a batter.Courtney Finn had a big afternoon with three hits, including a 2-run homer in the second inning. Finn also walked once, scored twice and drove in four runs.The Vikings (6-4, 2-4 NEC South) also benefited from some nice defense when centerfielder Lindsey Barker threw out a runner at the plate through the cutoff and catcher Abby Belcher (2-for-3, RBI), in addition to holding on for the tag, threw out a runner trying to steal second early in the game.Danvers 12, Revere 0At Revere, Ashley Burnham had a thing for fours in this one, going 4-for-4 with four RBI and four runs scored. She supplied the back-breaker in the fourth inning with a 3-run home run.Caraline Mulholland (3-for-4, triple, two runs) also brought the bat. The Falcons hammered out 18 hits. They scored a run in the first, four in the third and five in the fourth. They finished up with two runs in the seventh. Pitcher Diana Bean only allowed three hits and struck out one. Danvers is 6-3, 5-2 Northeastern Conference. Revere is 3-7.Mystic Valley 17, Tech 2At Tech, Kristina Hynes struck out 11, but the Tiger bats went silent. Tech is 3-7.
