The Swampscott and Lynnfield High girls tennis teams don’t generally cross paths during the regular season, but they do tend to run into one another come tournament time, and so far, the Pioneers have dominated those postseason matchups.The Big Blue (4-0) got one back on Thursday, however, with a 3-2 win in a non-league bout at Swampscott.”It was just a great tennis match,” Swampscott coach Lenny Polacco said. “It’s very possible that these two teams could meet again in the state tournament. Today meant a lot to us. It’s a tremendous program that Craig Stone has built at Lynnfield.”The match couldn’t have been decided in more dramatic fashion. The score was tied, 2-2, with first singles still playing.
