PEABODY – Police say a fare dispute occurred before a woman accused a taxi driver of sexually assaulting her early Saturday morning.At 3:10 a.m., police responded to White Hen Pantry on Lowell Street for a disturbance. Officers discovered two young women hiding inside a bathroom after one of them said she was groped by the cabbie, police said.Police eventually learned the women only had $40 cash between them but the cab ride cost $120, according to Police Lt. Dennis Bonaiuto.The 21-year-old alleged victim and her friend took the cab from Boston after a night out, according to police.The victim said she was sitting in the front seat when the driver groped her, police said.Police could not find that a crime had been committed by the cab driver and let him go.
