LYNN – The motorcyclist injured in a crash Tuesday on Summer Street was upgraded Wednesday to stable condition, police said.John R. Hunt, 22, of 10 Arthur St., Lynn, was driving his 2001 Harley Davidson FXDP westbound on Summer Street when he struck the front bumper of a Hyundai Santa Fe as it made a left turn from Ashland Street, police said.Hunt’s motorcycle skidded over 100 feet before he slammed into the SUV, taking off its bumper.Janice Palleschi, 55, of 11 Margin St., Lynn, said a van was parked on Summer Street at the corner of Ashland as she tried to turn, obstructing her view.When the bike collided with the car, Hunt was thrown several feet from his motorcycle and treated for head trauma, police said.An Action Ambulance transported him to Mass. General Hospital.Lynn police traffic investigators and the State Police Accident Reconstruction Team were called in to handle the accident.Police did not say if citations were issued.
