LYNN – A 50-year-old woman didn’t get far Tuesday after she allegedly robbed the Lewis Street Dunkin’ Donuts, according to police.Deborah Conley, of 146 Breman St., East Boston, was found buzzing several bells of an apartment building directly across the street from the doughnut shop within a few minutes of the robbery, police said.At 8:05 p.m., Conley allegedly walked into the shop where an employee asked her if she needed assistance. Conley placed her right hand inside of her coat pocket as if she were holding a weapon and allegedly said, “Get the money out of the (expletive) drawer.”The employee gave Conley cash unbeknownst to another employee who was working in the back and the two customers drinking coffee in the business, police said.”Hit the button and I’ll come over the counter,” Conley allegedly said at one point. She also told the victim she knew where she lived and called her by name, police said. The victim was wearing her name tag. Before leaving, Conley allegedly made one more demand of the clerk.”When I leave, say ‘thank you and have a nice day’ to me,” she allegedly said. As Conley allegedly walked out she yelled, “Say it louder!”When police responded, the victim described the robber as a white female around 50 years old with blond hair, a wrinkled face, pink lipstick, dirty and unkempt fingernails, a black hooded jacket and sunglasses. It didn’t take long before officers saw Conley at the apartment building across the street. She allegedly told police her boyfriend dropped her off at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Western Avenue – two miles away – and she had walked all the way to Lewis Street. Police noted that it was pouring rain, yet Conley’s clothes appeared to be “minimally” wet.Conley’s sister lives in the apartment building and stated that Conley has a substance abuse problem. The store clerk positively identified Conley as the robber. Conley was arraigned on a single armed robbery charge Wednesday in Lynn District Court where Judge Ellen Flatley ordered her held on $1,500 cash bail. Someone posted the bail and Conley was released from custody around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
