LYNN – Police say the hunt is still on to find the killer of Darlin Guzman, the 28-year-old Lynn man who was shot and killed outside White Hen Pantry in Austin Square late Sunday night.Guzman, a Lincoln Street resident, was shot multiple times in the chest around 11 p.m. following an argument with another man, according to police and witnesses.The suspect was described as a light skinned male who fled in a red Honda Accord down Boston Street toward Saugus.White Hen store owner Emad Abedeldin says his employee heard Guzman arguing with another man outside the store moments before shots were fired. He said they were not customers of the store.”I’m shocked by the whole thing,” Abedeldin said Monday. “I haven’t seen anything like that in the three or four years I’ve been here.”The slaying marks Lynn’s first homicide of 2008. Five murders were reported in 2007.Guzman’s death also marks the city’s second unsolved murder in recent months.Michael Reyes, 26, was shot Oct. 25 inside a first-floor apartment at 56 Johnson St. during a drive-by shooting. His killer has not been caught.
