State workforce secretary to address Lynn chamber

LYNN – Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Suzanne M. Bump will address the local business community on Feb. 28 as the inaugural speaker in the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Good Morning Lynn” breakfast series.Bump will give a talk entitled “Bridging the Gap: Training Today’s Workforce.” The breakfast at the Porthole Pub restaurant, 98 Lynnway, begins at 7:30 a.m. The event being presented in partnership with Operation Bootstrap, Inc., the local literacy program. The office of Lynn Mayor Edward Clancy Jr. and the City of Lynn are the lead sponsors, but other sponsorships are available.Tickets are $15 per person and include full breakfast. Tables of six, eight and 10 are available. Table size should be specified when making reservations.The sponsor registration deadline is Feb. 8 and must be paid in full by that date.
