BOSTON ? A Revere man was arrested for his second drunken driving offense early Wednesday morning after he allegedly crashed his car into a police cruiser at a stop light in East Boston, police said.Cesar A. Gaviria, 33, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense) at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday following the crash at the corner of Emmons and Paris streets.Other police officers were patrolling the area at the time when they heard a loud crashing noise and observed a marked Boston police cruiser roll up onto the sidewalk and come to a stop, police said. The sole officer inside the car was not hurt.Gaviria also crashed into another parked car in the accident, police said.Police say Gaviria was unsteady on his feet, omitted an odor of alcohol and failed three field sobriety tests before he was placed under arrest. He was not injured.
