LYNN – City Clerk Mary Audley said voters interested in casting ballots in Tuesday’s presidential primary should visit their regular polling places and not City Hall.”There’s nothing going on at City Hall Tuesday night,” she said. “Everyone needs to vote where they usually do because there won’t be any voting machines at City Hall.”Polling locations for Feb. 5 are as follows:Ward 3, Precinct 4, English High School, 50 Goodridge St.Ward 4, Precinct 4, No. Shore Community College, Broad Street. On March 4, however, Audley said City Hall would be holding an election for voters to choose their new state representative in the 8th district to save money and centralize the balloting process.Voters will have a choice between Democratic candidates Cesar Archilla of Swampscott and Lori Ehrlich of Marblehead, and Republican candidates John Blaisdell and Tanya DeGenova of Marblehead to replace former State Rep. Douglas Petersen.Enrolled candidate Mark Berry is running in the election on March 4 as well.”Only two precincts will be voting in the city that day, Ward 3, Precinct 4, and Ward 4, Precinct 4, who are lumped together with Swampscott and Marblehead,” she said.Audley said cards would be mailed out to voters beforehand to remind them of the change.Ward 4, Precinct 4’s 1,854 voters usually vote at North Shore Community College while the 1,705 voters in Ward 3, Precinct 4 usually vote at English High School. As of now, Audley said tentative plans will be to set up voting machines in the health clinic in the basement of City Hall near the handicapped entrance, or in the first floor election office.
