Miranda Hogan buried a three in overtime to help lift the English High girls basketball team to a 46-45 win over Danvers Friday at Danvers.Hogan only had six points, but none were bigger than the three that put the Bulldogs up by three, 45-42, with 1:30 left in overtime. Jeanette Anderson added a free throw down the stretch to hold off the Falcons in the final minute.Jeanette Anderson had another huge game for the Bulldogs with 24 points and 25 rebounds. Jenicia Duggins (12 points, 5 steals) also came up big for the Bulldogs (9-4, 7-4 Northeastern Conference).”It was a hard-fought game all the way,” English coach Fred Hogan said. “We missed 20 free throws and still won by one.”LaShaunda Hogan was the defensive workhorse for the Bulldogs, holding sharpshooter Danielle Sherry to only six points.
