For two periods on Wednesday at Connery Rink, the Lynn Jets were doing everything in their power to hand away two points to Revere as the Patriots had scored a pair of power play goals and led 3-2.But the Jets once again dug deep and showed some resolve as Billy MacDaniel and Dan Casale scored third period goals, the tying goal coming with 1:45 left from Casale, to earn a 4-4 tie with the Patriots.”We woke up in the third,” Lynn coach Al Melanson said.MacDaniel finished the game with two goals and two assists, giving him 14 points on the season, and Casale had two goals.Revere struck first off the stick of Chris Mastropietro at 6:09 of the first. The Jets (3-2-2) tied the game on Casale’s first goal at 11:13. MacDaniel briefly gave the Jets a 2-1 lead in the second before Jay Sasso and Paul Pelletier scored in the final 4:58 of the period to retake the lead for Revere.MacDaniel’s second of the game, assisted by Eric Bransfield, at 6:21 drew the Jets even at 3-3 with 6:18 left.
