LYNN – Future development plans for the Washington Street Gateway neighborhood will be discussed during a master plan meeting Monday.The plan is allegedly going to set the course for the future of the area and will be held Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lynn Home for Young Women at 144 Broad St.Lynn Housing Authority & Neighborhood Development (LHAND), Lynn Community Development Housing Corporation (LCDHC) and Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) are working in conjunction together with residents of the Washington Street Gateway Area.The neighborhood stretches from Newhall Street to Lynn Shore Drive, up Washington Street to Broad Street and back up to Newhall.Residents and business/property owners in the Washington Street Gateway area as well as the general public are invited to attend the meeting.Sasaki Associates, the group that completed the Master Plan for the waterfront, will be at the meeting to present design options and to collect ideas and gain input from residents to prepare a plan.Designs for the project will support the city?s newly created Master Plan for the waterfront.For more information, contact Martha Marquis at 781-581-8615.
