SALEM – Charges against a Lynnfield man involving accusations of rape and molestation have been dropped because the victim does not wish to testify.Ronald Disciscio, 68, of 31 Longbow Road, was charged with three counts of rape of a child and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child over 14 and a single count of indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14. All eight charges were dropped Tuesday during a hearing at Salem Superior Court.Prosecutors accused Disciscio of raping and molesting a teenage boy in his home and in Revere over a two-year period between 2005 and 2006.The Revere teen, now 15, told authorities the sexual abuse began when he was 13.The victim apparently disclosed the sexual assaults to a friend in the summer of 2006.Disciscio, who denied the charges from the onset of the case, was indicted by an Essex County grand jury in January of 2007. He has been free on his own personal promise to return to court for his trial since being arraigned.
