NAHANT-One of the biggest fundraisers for the Johnson Elementary School Parent Teacher organization gets underway this evening in the Lowlands parking lot.PTO member Christine Kendall said this is the second year the PTO has sold Christmas trees at the Lowlands to raise funds.?Last year we netted almost $5,000,” she said. “Most of the money goes to pay for field trips for Johnson School students and some of it is used for enrichment programs we bring into the school.”Kendall said the trees would be sold Wednesday through Friday from 6-9 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. until they sell out.Kendall said six-to-eight foot trees are $35 and seven-to-nine foot trees are $40. The PTO will deliver trees in Nahant at no additional charge.?We’ll also have people available to help load trees onto cars,” she said.The PTO is also selling 12-inch wreaths, which are $10 without a bow and $12 with a bow.
