Lynn – A Lynn man is in custody and has been charged with an armed robbery stemming back to Nov. 8 on Bennett Street.Larry Inoa, 21, of 28 Lowell St., Apt. #2, Lynn, was arrested on a warrant Thursday for an armed robbery involving a motor vehicle that had received mechanical work.Inoa was arraigned in Lynn District Court Friday and was ordered held at the Middleton House of Correction without bail until his next court date in Lynn on Dec. 6 at 9 a.m.According to the police report, Lynn Police responded to a report of a robbery involving two suspects who fled the scene of a body shop in a Ford Escape and a Chevy Impala.Inoa allegedly went to the repair shop to pick up the Impala the morning of Nov. 8 and was told the work would cost $1,000.Leaving the scene visibly upset, Inoa later returned to the shop a short time later with another suspect. One of the males, armed with a baseball bat, began to attack the victim and punched him in the face.During the assault, the victim told police that one of the men had a black handgun in his waistband and pointed it at him. In addition, the victim said the suspects took $3,020 out of his pocket.After the attack, the victim said that one of the suspects got in the Impala and the other in an Escape and fled the scene.Officers searched the area and located the Impala, which was parked on Commercial Street. The victim was escorted to the vehicle and identified it as the one that he had worked on a short time ago.A socket tool was also located near the engine hood as well.The arrest of the second suspect has not yet been made.
