SALEM – A Lynn man who admitted dealing cocaine last year from his apartment received 18 months in prison Friday in Salem Superior Court.Kurt Reynolds, 19, of 50 Trinity Ave., Apt. 1, Lynn, changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine before Judge Howard J. Whitehead.Shortly before 7 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2006, police raided his apartment and seized approximately 17 grams of crack cocaine.Initially, Reynolds was charged with trafficking over 14 grams of cocaine, but as part of a plea concession the charge was reduced, sparing him of a mandatory three-year prison term. The sentence imposed is forthwith, eliminating the sentence he is now serving on an unrelated case.Assistant District Attorney Michael J. Sheehan prosecuted the case and Jill Gately was the defense lawyer.
