LYNN-An alleged crack dealer from Dorchester was busted by undercover State Police Wednesday in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on the Lynnway.Erick Woods, 35, of 62A Church St., Dorchester, was arrested and charged with distribution of a class B drug (crack cocaine.)An undercover Trooper reported having intelligence that Woods, nicknamed “Uki,” was selling cocaine in Lynn. The Trooper called Woods’ cell phone to arrange a purchase outside Wal-Mart on Wednesday afternoon, police said.He arranged to meet Woods outside the store at about 3:15 p.m.Before the Trooper arrived, he received a call from Woods saying he was inside the Wal-Mart. The Trooper then drove around the parking lot waiting for Woods to emerge, which he did before getting into the undercover Trooper’s vehicle, police said.According to police, in the car, Woods sold the Trooper three plastic twist bags of a white rock substance, believed to be crack cocaine for $150.After the alleged transaction, Woods left the Trooper’s vehicle and got into his own Nissan Pathfinder and began driving on the Lynnway.Within seconds, Lynn police stopped the Pathfinder and arrested Woods.During his arraignment in Lynn District Court on Wednesday, Judge Ellen Flatley released Woods on personal recognizance. He was ordered back to court Jan. 18 for a pre-trial hearing.
