SALEM – The case against a Peabody man accused of raping and molesting a young boy has been dropped because of the inability to prosecute.Paul Stazinski, 44, last known address of 4 Rogers Road, faced charges of three counts of rape of a child with force and a single count of indecent assault and battery on a child.Assistant District Attorney Melissa A. Woodard said she was dropping the charges because of the commonwealth?s “inability to prosecute at this time.”The charges stemmed from allegations with a young boy from Jan. 1, 2000 through Dec. 5, 2003 at a home on Bridge Street in Beverly.The child disclosed the allegations to a school counselor in 2003.Stazinski, who denied the allegations, has been free on bail since being arraigned in Superior Court.An Essex County grand jury handed up the indictments against him in March of 2004.
