The Danvers girls soccer team defeated Belmont in overtime, 2-1, to win a Division 2 North semifinal game on Saturday afternoon at Acton-Boxborough. Tess Saunders scored the game-winner on a Jackie Gauthier assist.”It was just thrilling,” Danvers coach Jim Hinchion said. “A very exciting game. At this point in the season, to be able to make the season last another game longer is incredible.”Danvers plays Wakefield today at Acton-Boxborough at 12:30 p.m. in the North final.It was 1-1 at the end of regulation.
