LYNN – State Rep. Robert Fennell said $500,000 has been awarded to two local organizations providing critical health services to area residents.BayRidge Hospital, a division of the Northeast Hospital Corporation, and the Lynn Community Health Center each received $250,000 as part of funding through the state’s Essential Community Provider Trust Fund.”I am very pleased that these grants have been made to these two community organizations. The additional funding through this account will help them continue to provide acute and preventive care to those who need it most and can least afford it,” Fennell said. The grants, and $37 million in other money distributed to 67 other health facilities, provides more resources to provide greater access to clinical support, care coordination, and pharmacy management services. The Executive Office of Health and Human Services based the grant awards on the financial needs and role each provider plays statewide and in their community.Other recipients of grants through the provider fund on the North Shore include North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport, and the Lowell Community Health Center in Lowell.
