The Lynn Tech soccer team didn’t get off to the best of starts this season, going 1-5 in its first six games. But the Tigers have found the month of October to their liking.Prince Tchoumi scored twice as the Tigers rolled to a 5-2 win over Northeast Regional on Tuesday at Manning Field. Tech now sits at 7-6-1 overall and 7-4-1 in the Commonwealth Conference.”We really have come together and are playing well right now,” Tech coach Fred Gallo said.The Tigers got off to a good start, taking a 2-0 lead into the half on goals by Jefferson Avila and Tchoumi. Northeast halved the lead early in the second half but Tchoumi’s second of the game restored the two goal advantage.Omar Vincente and Richard Jones-Alas then added goals to give Tech a 5-1 lead.Peabody 5, Beverly 0At Beverly, the Tanners (11-1, 10-1 NEC) continued to run ragged through the NEC North as Jared Rizzo scored twice to pace the attack. Lucas Brito, Jordan Hoofnagle and Mike Pennachio also had goals for Peabody.Brian Fleming and Justin Famiglietti combined to pitch Peabody’s seventh shutout of the season.Peabody is at second place Salem on Thursday.Revere 2, Classical 1At Della Russo Stadium in Revere, the Patriots (6-8-1) got goals from Max Ochoa and Luis DaCunha to hold off the tough Rams.Ashley Barrios and Joe Spofford had one assist each while goalkeeper Alfonso Rosales turned aside a Classical penalty kick that would have tied the game.Salem 2, English 1At Manning Field, the Witches (10-3-1) assured themselves of a return to the postseason under first year coach Mike D’Agostino thanks to Neur Mahamad’s goal off a Chris Alas corner kick with 10 minutes to go.”That was our first corner kick goal of the season,” D’Agostino said.Max Mondstein had the other Salem goal, assisted by Brad Duhaine, in the first half.Mubarak Nyang had the Bulldog (3-9-2) goal, assisted by Anthony McCullough, with 5:00 left in the first half to tie the game at 1-1.Saugus 0, Marblehead 0At Marblehead, the Sachems (4-6-3) got a great performance from Joey Meuse in goal and on defense from John Friend but couldn’t get one past Magician (6-4-4) goalie George Kaltsas.Danvers 3, Swampscott 1At Dr. Deering Stadium in Danvers, the Falcons (7-5-1, 3-2-1 NEC) had a 2-0 halftime lead and never were challenged. Benny Pasquariello had the opening goal, assisted by Chris Ciampa, and Phil Marchwinski made it 2-0 at the break.Ciampa made it 3-0, assisted by Kalle Bengtsson, before Swampscott got on the board via Rocky Nenshati’s goal midway through the half.
