REVERE-Police still haven’t caught the suspect who robbed and stabbed an Everett Cab driver in the arm on Sargent Street Wednesday night, but have released more details about what happened.Capt. Michael Murphy said yesterday the driver picked up the fare, described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s wearing a yellow “Corona” t-shirt, in Everett shortly before the 7 p.m. robbery. The suspect was also described as wearing white shoes, having a mustache and a short beard and had a tattoo on his right forearm, police said. When the suspect ordered the cabbie, a 42-year-old Everett man, to pull over at the Route 1 underpass, he forced the driver out of the car onto his knee before he robbed him of about $200, according to police. The driver suffered several small lacerations to his right forearm in the attack, police said.Police searched the nearby Glenwood Cemetery, just over the Everett border, for quite some time. The search was then extended to Voke Park in Chelsea after the K-9 picked up a scent leading police there.”I’ve lived here 40 years and I don’t remember anything like this,” said Angela DeCandia, who was walking by the crime scene with her friend shortly after the robbery.
