Bingham also had 14 points in that game. English trailed 28-25 at halftime.BOYS TRACKDivision 3 all-state meetKevin Bennett took home first in the 1,000 in 2:36.50 to provide all the Magicians points. Marblehead finished 17th overall. Hingham won the meet with 41 points.Saugus’ Alex DeRosa placed seventh in the 2-mile (10:23.33).Division 4 all-state meetSwampscott was 21st (5 points). Spencer Shonio was fifth in the 300 (36.47) and Steven Bennett was fifth in the 1,000 (2:40.49). The Big Blue placed sixth in the 4 x 800 relay (8:54.43).GIRLS TRACKDivision 3 all-state meetDanvers tied for 12th with 12 points. Christina Kaczynski came home second in the 1,000 at 3:05.71, just three tenths of a second behind the winner. Katelynn Hartnett added a fourth in the 600 (1:40.56) for the Falcons.Fenwick finished 18th with Lexi Culkeen taking second in the shot put at 35-10 1/2 while Saugus’ Cassandra Anderson was fifth in the 300 (42.19).Division 4 all-state meetLindsey Walsh ran 11:47.88 to finish third in the 2-mile for Swampscott’s eight points and an 18th place finish.WRESTLINGPrep in Individual State TournamentAt Lowell, The Prep had two state champions: Mark Grabowski, 135, and Ryan Malo, 189. Malo won his second state title, pinning all four opponents.”That’s 13 years in a row we’ve had a state champion,” coach Manny Costa said.Also placing for The Prep were: Ryan Harding, second, 125; Brian Story, third, 130; Dan Lahiff, third, 171; and Ben Ersing, fourth, 119. All six wrestlers advance to the all-state tourney next weekend.
