Danville, N.H. — Charles G. Doucette, 84, of Danville, N.H., died suddenly on Monday, June 13, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley.
Born and raised in Lynn to the late Charles and Bernice (Hudson) Doucette, he lived in Groveland for over 40 years, and spent the last 11 years living in Danville, N.H. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Backstrom) Doucette and then the late Donna Rapa-Doucette.
Charles served as a paratrooper in the Army before working as an engineer for Honeywell for many years. Charles had a love for planes and he was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He also enjoyed reading, and spending time socializing with friends and family.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Donna Doucette of Danville, N.H., and Diane Seavey of Methuen, stepchildren, Allen Rapa and his wife, Melissa, David Rapa, and Charlotte Gagnon, grandchildren, Gregory Seavey, Christopher Seavey and his wife, Amy, Jennifer Williams, Samantha Massey and her husband, Jeffrey, step-grandchildren, Angeline and Anthony, his sisters, Christina Barnes, of Florida and Elizabeth Demoree of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Elsie (Backstrom) Doucette, and his wife, Donna Rapa-Doucette.
Service information: A memorial service will be held at the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Route 129), on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
