The Lynn Tech boys soccer team won its first game of the year Friday at Manning Field, defeating Mystic Valley, 4-0.
“It was great,” said coach Jeremy McKeen. “We’re 0-2-3 and we’ve had some excellent games that have ended up tied.”
One of those games was against Greater Lowell Thursday when the Tigers got up 2-0 in the first half and had to settle for a 2-2 tie.
But they broke through Friday, extending a 2-0 halftime lead in the second 40 minutes.
“We finally got our offensive attack correct,” said McKeen. “We had the right people in the right places.”
In the first half, Jose Zacarias scored off an assist from Christian Irias to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead, with Ervin Ramos collecting the second one.
Irias, with a helper from Isaac Perez, made it 3-0, Tech early in the second half and Santiago Zuluaga scored the final goal.
