After inches of snow was dumped on the Northeast on Friday morning, many local high school games were postponed due to the weather.
The Lynn Classical girls’ basketball game at home against Revere, originally scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., has been pushed back a day and will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Lynn Classical High School. The Classical boys’ game against Revere, originally scheduled for the same time, will start at 12 p.m. on Sunday at Revere High School.
The Lynn English girls’ basketball team’s road matchup against Beverly and the English boys’ team’s home matchup against the Panthers, both scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, were postponed, and a makeup date has not yet been announced.
The Swampscott girls’ basketball game at Salem, as well as the Swampscott boys’ basketball game at home against Salem, both originally scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, were postponed. New dates will be announced on Monday.
The Peabody girls’ basketball game at Danvers and the Peabody boys’ basketball game at home against Danvers, both originally scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., were postponed. New dates have yet to be announced.
The Saugus girls’ basketball game at home against Gloucester, as well as the Saugus boys’ basketball game on the road at Gloucester, bot scheduled for Friday night, were postponed. No makeup date has been set.
The Northeastern Conference/Cape Ann League Gymnastics championship, originally scheduled for Friday evening, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Beverly Sterling YMCA.
The Bishop Fenwick girls’ basketball game against Matignon, originally scheduled for Friday at 6:30 p.m., has been rescheduled to Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bishop Fenwick High School. The Fenwick boys’ basketball game at Cathedral, also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, was postponed and a makeup date has yet to be announced.
The St. John’s Prep basketball game at home against Xaverian, scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., has been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
