The St. Mary’s girls lacrosse team completed their season sweep of Arlington Catholic, cruising to a huge 15-5 win Saturday.
The Spartans (5-3) were led by goalie Brittany McPherson, who made 13 saves and took charge of the defense in front of her.
“The defense stepped up, and with (McPherson’s) guidance, it was impressive,” said St. Mary’s coach K.C. Butt.
Taylor Capozzi and Mady Hentosh were huge defensively for St. Mary’s, each causing seven turnovers. Kate Cadigan was also a force on defense.
Offensively, things started to come together seamlessly for St. Mary’s.
