The St. Mary’s girls lacrosse team took down Mystic Valley, 17-9, on the road Friday afternoon. As has been the case lately for the Spartans, the offense was spread around amongst a few players. Liz Weisse, Mady Hentosh, Codi Butt, Ryley Lynch, Meg Parthum and Kate Grey all scored for St. Mary’s.
Goalie Brittany McPherson made 14 saves, and Kate Cadigan and Nikki Bendicksen were the glue holding the defense together, especially in the second half. Abby Frary also came up big in the second half on defense.
Assistant coach Briana Marotta said the team is working well together, and winning more draws, which is a big plus.
The Spartans (5-2) travel to Archbishop Williams Monday.
